I always ask people if they feel as if their cars run better(faster) in the night as opposed to the day, when its hot and muggy...the response I get is that they feel as if their car runs the same...Well I own a 98 4-door Civic with a d16y7 all I have in it is a short ram intake...well the other day my cousin who drives an automatic 96 Accord with a f22b1 with vtec stock overtook me after i took him at takeoff well that same night we raced again and this time I, again, had the take off but there was a difference instead of him overtaking me I just kept pulling on him........ someone plz explain..

 

it depends on your driving.

Think about it: the cars are exactly the same the second time as the first. If the environment changed, it affected both cars equally, so it's irrelevant.
