Default Rebuilt Tranny 98 Accord

I recently had my transmission rebuilt at a local shop. Immediately I noticed several things wrong. The engine idled high, there is a whining, I believe both axle seals leak, it is slow to go in gear, when shifting from Drive to Reverse the tranny jumps in gear very hard and then jerks again (also the Reverse light does not work from Drive to Reverse)
Once it has been returned to Park, it shifts into Reverse nice. The tranny downshifts pretty hard when slowing down. When out on the highway, it seems to not whant to shift into overdrive. I get a 6th month warranty with this rebuild. I took the car right back to the shop and the owner said "we put it back tighter than at the factory" "drive it 100 miles and then let us know" I realize now I should have gotton a used one. once I had the car towed, I asked the shop to let me know what they found out. After several days of no phone calls, I paid them a visit, the mechanic said they had built it and would be ready the next day. I feel like I have been totally shafted. Any suggestions on what these problems are? What are my options if this shop doesn't get it fixed?

TIA
Mark

ask them if the used Honda parts. I had the same problem and they had to replace the following under warranty

a solenoid
c solenoid
linear pressure switch

what company did you use?

Getting a used trans with these cars is NOT a good idea

If your axle seals are leaking, take it back and demand them to rebuild the differential as the bearings are bad. If they did not rebuld the differental, I seriously doubt that these guys know what they are doing

V6 or I4 ?

well you took it back and all you can count on is them covering it.

and nothing wrong with a used trans if its got a warranty as well.
