Nippon pistons type S for H22A any experiences???good???FRM compatible???
I saw a set and said they were OEM TYPE S std bore 11-1 comp. Are they as good as OEM pistons or? and are they compatible with the FRM cylinders like the OEM replacement type s pistons are??? any help and experience would be much appreciated...I saw a set going for cheap with hasting rings...
They are probably just about the same exact thing. A company called "Nippon" makes OEM parts for Honda, however, I don't know for sure if the Nippon you're referring to is the same "Nippon" that Honda has contracted for various OEM parts.
Nippon is a HUGE company and one of their buisnesses is oem parts supplier, Honda being one of their customers. Nippon most likely was the oe piston supplier for the H motor.
hmm curious if it has the special coating on the skirts for the FRM cylinders....???

yeah, ive heard that the nippon pistons are the only ones they consider oem. some **** called "kicker" coating? i would definately ask the seller. get it in writing that they are FRM compatible.

Hi John!!
Yes this piston are Nippon Pistons made in japan for Honda, This pistons work with any H22 or H23 Honda Motors. Please be advice that the FRM Coating in early H22 can not be hone or bore.
Thanks for your interest in our product and if you have any other question please let us know

Yea, they're the oem pistons. That buisness about not being able to hone or bore frm is nonsense though..
