How many times a day do you h-t members hit vtec? that is on average. just wanna know

 

my teg dont has vtec, but i did like 6-7k rmp everyday

 

man i hit vtec like every stop light or stop sign. when ever i stop i hit vtec. i usually only hit vtec in first and second because i am always trying to shift faster and i practice on 1-2 shift. but i have to say l hit vtec like 20 times a day.

What's Vtech?

 

I open my car up at least once a day, sometimes more than once... it's good for it, keeps carbon build-up to a minimum (as long as you're not bouncing the rev limiter all the time, which starves the engine for fuel, which is bad).

 

probably like 5 or so times a day, unless I'm stressed....then I'm always there.

 

Can someone explain to me what Vtec is and what it does and how to 'hit vtec' etc?

Once and for all. And yes I'm bracing myself for bashing and hating and newbie calling. I just want to know.

when i do have my car i open her up all day long.

 

I used to take my car in vtec everyday at every light and at every chance that i had! But thats way too much wear and tear on the motor, especially if i want the motor to last. Have any of you guys tried to keep it out of vtec for a whole day? TRY IT...its as bad as quitting smoking!!!

 

No v-TeCk here y0. But I will usually wind my car up to 5 or 6k most every day.

 

I have yet to go one day without hitting VTEC in the last year. I think quitting smoking would be way easier!

I hiot v-tec once before school, before work, after work..... prolly more than that but thats on the average...

oh and i hit vtec like 20 times a day...thats not very high, now the secondaries i might hit like 3 or 4 times a day

 

If you are driving a GSR...you're hitting VTEC at approx 4400 RPM! (That's when the secondary cam lobes start taking over.)
If you're talking about the definite change in sound around 5700-6000 RPM ....that's the Secondary Intake Runner opening up....not VTEC. So...in response to the initial question......I hit VTEC Alot!

I hit VTEC in 3rd every day! Love to stretch it out on the highway....

 

I don't get on the highway everyday but when I do...

I hit it in 1st in 2nd everyday making a right onto Route 50
