Ok so, I have been looking for a door forever for my 91 crx si, it has door mounted seat belts. But I cant seem to find any other year of crx that has the same damn door! the 88's are differnt thats for damn sure ( I'm selling a 88 driver die door btw
). And appearntly a 90 crx si has pilar mounted belts, according to a guy that has one. WHAT THE HELL!?! does anyone know what all doors I can use in this **** box? Ima go give it another boot to the side to make me feel better. HELP! Please n thankyou.

well as far as i know, all 88's had pillar mounted seat belts, every year after that had door mounted seat belts except for the 89 hf, atleast that is what i think i have been told, not 100% sure.

All 88's, and 89 HF's had Pillar mounted.
89-91 All had door mounted, except for 89 HF.
This is US only. All Canadian cars were pillar mounted, as were JDM. Not sure about EDM stuff.

If what I hear is correct, you want a 1990-1991 US-spec door. Any trim level. The 89 doors (all but the 89 HF) can be made to work, but you have to mess with things like the molding on the door. There may also be a small difference in shape between the 88-89 and the 90-91 doors as well; there seems to be some debate on that.
Anyway, get your doors from US-spec CRXes of the 1990 or 1991 model years.

How is it smaller? people put 88 doors on 89-91 all the time? The only diff between 88 HF doors, and all other 88 models is lack of side impact beams.

that guy has a canadian model CRX. they did not have the door mounted seat belt restriction.
seeing how youre in washington state, its very possible you would run into these models and need to be aware of the difference.
