Default OBD2A engine harness ?

Hey all.

I'm in the process of throwin in my GSR into my 97 hatch. I just bought a 98 auto ex engine harness. I know there's 2 extra plugs but is there anything else I need to wire differently becasue it's an auto harness?

And will I get check engine light becasue of the unused plugs.

I've searched and just kept finding unanswered questions to this question.

so basically. Do I have to run any wiring differently or will it be the equivelant to just a manual ex harness with 2 extra plugs?

And lastly, Will I get check engine for the plugs that arent used?

Thanks.

The only way you will get a CEL for the plugs not being used is if you are using an ECU that reads the sensors for those plugs. For example: You have an automactic p75 ECU with an automatic obd2a civic ex harness, an obd2a ls motor, and a manual transmission. You will get the codes for the void of an auto trans.(EXAMPLE SETUP ONLY)

Basically, if you have an auto ECU and a manual trans you will get codes. Otherwise, NO.

As for any different wiring, I don't think there is going to be hardly any modification. Just the usual lengthining of some. I do suggest you get a good engine harness schematic for the GSR engine and Civic chasis. Hope this helped.
