Default Brake calipers (sp?) and colors.

I've noticed a lot of SIs have red calipers, have people been painting them or did I miss something?

I'm thinking about painting mine or buying different ones, whichever works... What would be a good color on NBP with Stock, powdercoated gunmetal wheels? Red? Yellow? I duno.

I would do it with some Automotive paint that can withstand heat and fading. I am gonna do mine red, But with paint from a body shop and get them cleared so they wont chip or fade.

What about powder coating? Would that be a bad idea? I could get them done when I do my wheels.
