Aleph was, I wasn't--still recovering from carnival weekend at CMU. Hopefully see you there at the next one!

yeah, not exactly my best driving tho Time was OK, but only 2 out of 4 runs on course, cold, rainy...and there's nothing worse than knowing you could have been much faster if you could just engage your brain...well, at least i got a ride in a Diablo VT with a nice straightaway launch that allowed every inch of first gear to go by...all 60-odd MPH of it. Those suckers can haul in a straight line, check off another car i would never have thought i'd be getting a ride in before i started racing!

...and what's with Street Mod getting bumped into CSP? Woulda had first but for a certain ~400 HP AWD talon killing me

I'm pretty sure SM turbo'd cars aren't allowed to bump to SP . The others are. They aren't allowed in prepared either (no 91 + turbos are allowed in the prepared classes, 90 and down are allowed 1 turbo if the car came w/ one) . It should have bumped to Mod...

hey rick, didn't know you were on here! that's what i was thinkin as far as bumped-stuff...CSP seems to be the universal catchall class. "Oh, it's a McLaren F1...not sure where that's supposed to go...stick it with the JGTC Skyline R34 in CSP"

heh.. didn't know that TALON have ~400 HP..
but I think the "Black StarwaRs Type R Jet" should be able to take it.. especially on the Dry last run..
R2D2 Error though.. instead of 35, time slips to 45.. LOL.

I am always 1-2 sec behind the StarwaRs Jet.. no complaints though.. Let him take the enemy, I'll just stay close and enjoy the day..

Edit: yeah, that Diablo VT was cool.. went to Gas Station in it was like riding a block of a very hard rock. The Door is funny.. I was like: "how do I open this?"

non vtec as in the non vtec model, it still has vtec. It is an Si model that has the D16Z6 motor (vtec) but not the VTEC model with the b16 motor. Why does honda have to make the del sol lineup so confusing?

Yea Yea.. has VTEC but SOHC, UNNOTICABLE, and should I say.. SLOW.. HeHeH?
(J/K)..
I love the Car. that's my 2nd Honda and I babied it for 6 years!!.
I know what D16Z is and the problem with it.
(what you ask?) Understeer and Nose Diving during hard braking, am I not right?
LOL...
Fun to Drive though.. and 1 thing that even my R can't compete with my old Del Sol: CHIX Magnet!!
I have more girls looking, sitting, and actually going out with me when I drive my Chubby Red Del Sol than now with my R.
Probably I drive too fast with the R.. they can only see some yellow blur passed by.. not the Good Looking Guy Inside, eh? LOL

I need a Del Sol now.. gonna find one cheap just for the sake of having chix all over me once again.

nosediving and understeer has been partway taken care of with shocks and spings. Next step on my list is to get an ITR rear sway bar. I do need to get some better tires though, right now i'm running Eagle GPS's which aren't bad, but they're definatly not an autocross tire

Like MrBite, I too was recovering from carnival (drunk for 15 hrs on Friday, 13 hrs on Saturday )

Did anyone get pictures? I thought about going when I woke up around 11am, then I sat up in my bed and decided to fall back down.

I'll TRY to bring my V6 to the May 5th event. Look out!

Yea, I'm here. Mostly for Civic/CRX stuff, but gotta pay attention to Pgh stuff

SP cars that come stock turbo'd *aren't* allowed to mess w/ boost. This is a fact. 1991+ cars with a turbo are not allowed in Prepared, period. Therefore, turbo'd SM cars should bump to e-Mod. Case closed

Why are there a lot of Zeros on the results?
is it because of the last Dry Run?

oh well..

i think those results are screwy, the last runs are applied to a few people, but not most....and the last runs are gonna make a big difference. We'll see if they fix it soon.

i'm not sure, did they not count the last run? If so, i'm glad because i was a second behind on that one and everyone else moved up a lot

Scott,
How's this for weird. Street Mod has a PAX/RTP factor of .834 . CSP has a PAX/RTP of .842. Since a lower PAX factor makes for a softer indexed time...

SOOO....most CSP cars will benefit under the PAX index by swapping to Street Mod. !@!@!@# STupid!@

The uppers in the NHSCC realize the score sheet is hosed, and are fixing it I'm told.

That Auto X (if you want to call it that) was the most horrible event I have ever been to.

I left early and was much more content sleeping.

Perhaps we should get Mr. Chabal a subscription to GRM or perhaps he will give us a life-long subscription to eye teaser magazine.

The course just never made sense to me.
Something is funny when John W runs faster times than Larry Fine in his WRX especially in the wet.

yeah, that course sucked shawn, i totally agree. It might have been more doable with the white lines, but the rain made it a sea of cones, literally...i saw that you & vern both left early, if not for the diablo ride i would have been really cranky. As for John W, we did have some good rain practice the week before...he has that fricking GS-R down pat this year. It's probably the best set up integra i've ever seen, and it's totally ST legal, it's crazy how he rocks so hard on those Azenis....i think once the temperatures rise and those of us on R compounds can get some heat in the rubber we'll be in better shape (at least i hope, it's hard to give someone crap when they keep beating you )

I know John is good.

But on a decent course he should not be able to beat Larry in the rain.

Anyhow, half of me does not want to go back to NHs even forgiving the superior course design. I really can not stand there running format. Take a run and sit for 1.5 hours, forget everything you learned, and allow your tires and car to go stone cold. Makes a guy want to drive to Akron or somewhere else far far away.

But I will probably show my ugly face there again due to all of the super cool racer dudes that show up.
