91 SI ZC swap: ECU code 20: Load detector-- US has one, Canada doesnt? Plz Help!!
My friend has a 91 SI Civic he's puttin a ZC in. Weve got a working ECU from a 91 CRX SI, that, without a doubt, works.
But it's throwin code 20:Electric Load Detector.
I found this thread on Hondaswap:
http://hondaswap.com/hybrid-eg...54887/
Basically, it's sayin that the Canadian SI's do not have a load detector, and the US ones do. Which means that using a US ECU thats set up for a load detector will throw a code, since there isnt one on the car, right? (should be a duh question)
The car doesnt crank or ANYTHING. NOTHING works except for the Brake light on the dash... but thats it. the radio, headlights, clock.. nothing works.
So can anybody back me up on this? Is this actually true and He's gotta buy a fusebox or what?
What do we do?
Buy a fusebox and be happy, or what?
Come on... Nothing?
It's a legit problem and this IS a technical website, right?

Maybe I should have titled it:
" What intake should I buy?"
or
"What exhaust sounds good on my car?"
or "Would an ITR engine in my 88 HF be fast?"
Maybe there would be more interest.
bump..
