How do I install my S2000 head unit into my CRX?
if theres a thread on this already, please point me in the right direction.
im replacing the head unit in my s2000 and want to put the stock s2000 unit in my CRX.
how can i do the wiring?
i know i can get a female adapter harness, but how do i get a male harness to plug into the back of the S2000 head unit? do they sell these? my search for metra adpaters doesnt come up with anything possible.
should i just get a bunch of little terminal plugs and plug them individually at the end of each wire on a female adapter harness?

I have a CRX and an S2000... I did what you are talking about... I just cut of the wiring on the car!... prolly not the best thing for re-sale value but it worked.
Oh ya, I think I got the wiring from the S2000 manual for the CD deck. (it's pretty straight forward though)

well what you do is take the 88-91 plug off, but leave enough slack on it to resolder it later.
then solder that metra plug to the crx wires, and then your 100% plug and play.
the only other way to do it would be tap into the crx wires and leave the older plug back there needlessly....
upon removal in the future youll still have to cover up all the strips you made, which is why itd be cleaner to just wire it like a 98 and up.

Or you could just spend 20 bucks by buying 2 adaptors and skip the headache

o right on... you could buy a female harness for the old one and just mate the two.

lol
one thing is youll have a long as cable back there when your done so be ready to zip tie it up so it doesnt hang down and peek out from behind the center console to either the driver or the passenger.

yeah, i already have a normal crx harness adapter from an old head unit that got hte faceplate stolen. i ordered the 98-05 plug already. just need to solder those two together and stuff it behind the console and whatnot.
if you buy the two harnesses from metra its straight color to color man.
red to red
yellow to yellow
etc etc etc
you dont need a writeup.
