if theres a thread on this already, please point me in the right direction.


im replacing the head unit in my s2000 and want to put the stock s2000 unit in my CRX.

how can i do the wiring?

i know i can get a female adapter harness, but how do i get a male harness to plug into the back of the S2000 head unit? do they sell these? my search for metra adpaters doesnt come up with anything possible.

should i just get a bunch of little terminal plugs and plug them individually at the end of each wire on a female adapter harness?

If you can't get ahold of one of those car-car harness things then try and get an s2k harness and then get a harness converter for your crx and get some wire diagrams and splice away. Not too hard of a job, finding everything you need will be the hardest part.

 

yeah, finding a "s2000" harness was just the hard part. i did find an actual cut one one ebay once i knew what key words to search, but i just bought the one from installers.com anyway. at least the wires on the aftermarket unit are labelled. i already have an adaptor to the crx harness, so yeah, its just splicing together the two adaptors now, just like any aftermarket unit.
