Default 90 CRX increase audible hum w/ increased RPM's

Hey guys,
Just had a new Pioneer CD player installed at Circuit City (free w/ purchase) because my old CD player went out. The vehicle has an amp hooked to the speakers (Polks), but no subs. I've noticed when I'm sitting there/engine running and the volume is way down, you can hear a high pitched whine/hum coming from the speakers. When I rev the engine, the whine goes up with the RPM's. It's not loud enough that I can over the road noise when I'm going or over the stereo, but it's kind of annoying and I'd like to get it taken care of. I was thinking grounds, but I think I only have one ground from the amp and it is going to the seat bolt.
Any ideas on what to check for?
Thanks!

Searching for "alternator whine" will yield all of the answers you seek.
