Default Tranny fitment

I have a JDM B18C gsr with a smoked tranny . Will a USDM gsr tranny work or better yet a type R? Will the tranny bolt right on?

I run NA so wouldn't a B16 tranny be the way to go? Shorter gears instead of tall.
