BudMan LOVES GranSport pads - watch & find out why - VIDEO!!
Both videos are identical, just different resolution.
Small size (95MB): http://www.nocoastracing.com/g...l.wmv
Large size (140MB): http://www.nocoastracing.com/g...6.wmv
Here's why this session was fun -
1) This is my 2nd race in SCCA ITE class. It kinda sucks being in with Vipers, the big porsches & 400+hp mustangs, but oh well.
2) HONDA RELIABILITY!!! I took 3rd because with 100+ temperatures & new track asphalt, 3 other cars broke. I went neck-to-neck with a 944 S2 for 8 laps before spinning (19 min mark on video) then caught him on the next lap - he thought I was done
I turned 126,000 miles during qualifying on Sunday!
3) GRANSPORT PADS - They never faded. I ran ATE with autozone rotors & bled before the race. The only chance I had to keep up was by outbraking the 944 S2. It's REALLY obvious I was hammering those pads & they worked great. 2 Race weekends + the ITRCA.com EXPO weekend & there is still ~70% pad left! THANK YOU CARL - http://www.TRACRACING.com
4) Hooooooooosiers - Thanks Jimmy - the hoosiers definately helped me keep up with the 944. I wish I had lap times with the RA1's so I knew how much, but props to having a great friend.
Enjoy the spiiiiiiiin & recovery
WHOOOOHOOOOO! Man I suck!

Glad you had fun and I'm grabbing the vids now

Mind me asking what type of brake fluid do you use?</TD></TR></TABLE>
He mentions he ran the ATE, better knows as the Super Blue, in the first post.

I just thought it was funny jamming it into reverse before the car quit spinning. I'm glad the access road didn't flip my car, which was my other objective to get more spinning done - I didn't want to hit it sideways

Your camera mount and angle makes it very fun to watch.

Wide angle lens helps a bunch. I like it when you can see more of the input. If I lit the floor, you could see my crappy foot work too.

I set my suspension damping stiffer than I ever had before, even for this track.

Show us your foot work as well next time then.
Best Motoring style.

It appears that somebody was sandbagging on Saturday. You really held your own with the 944 in the vid.

Sweet, Jeff.
I knew you were keeping up with the 944, but I had no idea how close you were to it. We were watching by the front straight (in the shade of the hospitality building
), so he had a pretty good gap on you at the point where I was standing. I had no idea that you were getting that close to him in the braking zones though. Good jarb
I want to see more of your vids from this past weekend !

Nice spinz yo!
Looked like a fun number of laps trying to get that 944. I think you need another bar of boost.

I'm still using the original tranny too.
clutchmasters stage 3 clutch/flywheel was installed at 75,000 miles.
