FS: 1991 Red Civic Hatchack STD $500
FOR SALE/FOR TRADE
$500!!!
1991 Red Honda Civic Hatchback STD
VIN# 2HGED6342MH500496
Mileage: Close to 200k
Exterior: Very Clean, car has been repainted sometime in its life due to a passenger side accident (repairs look good). One of the cleanest shells I have ever seen. Only a few blemishes here and there, nothing major at all.
Interior: Ok, needs a little TLC and lots of Febreze, most of the interior is there but of course no rear deck lid. Rear window needs to be retinted bad.
Here’s the deal, I purchased this car from an old man here in town (Columbus, GA) in hopes to get the car running as a daily. At the time of purchase he told me he had the title back at his sons house in Stewart County so he would mail it to me when he got a chance, he seemed very legit (hence he was a REALLY religious guy). It has been a month now and I have been back and forth back and forth with him about it and to tell you the truth I don’t know if it is coming or not. So I am selling as is no title, don’t quote me but I believe after 15 years you can re apply for a new one? Correct me if I’m wrong I don’t want to get any wrong information out there.
Well long story short in the mean time I tried to get it running (it had a blown motor). I got a CRX HF motor from (Tony4380) which had 150k on it, spent lots of money on new and used parts all to find out that now I need a gas tank. So needless to say I’m calling it quits on this thing and moving on without any headaches.
Here is a list of things I replaced so far:
1988 HF Motor 150K Miles
*Headgasket
*Advance Auto Parts Clutch
*Thermostat
*NGK Spark Plugs
Interstate Battery
Alternator
*Battery Terminals
Fuel Pump
*indicates Brand New Parts
tony4380, sloefcivic, slowboy and others can vouch for how clean this car is and all of the work that has gone into it.
Like I said we all got it running great I drove it for about 40 miles up and down the highway, it ran like a champ, I then put a full tank of gas in it and parked it at my apartment complex. Needless to say I got up the next morning and tried to start it and it didn’t start. I have reason to believe that it’s the gas tank because when I pulled it down to get the fuel pump out the lines to the gas tank were rusted and the gas tank inside looked really bad…hence 87 Octane of chocolate milk.
I live in Columbus, GA and upon purchase I will write a bill of sale up from myself to the buyer. The car rolls but it will need to be trailored when picked up. Also I am asking $500 for the car or trade for a Clean set of wheels 15, 16, or 17’s (i.e. Rotas, Racing Harts etc.) Wheels must have 80%+ Tread and no camber wear.
Thanks
Ray
