Default EBAY CATALYTIC CONVERTER

Check engine light just came on and the reader said that I'm in need of a new cat. The ebay ones come with a bung for the o2 sensor and I really just need something that works and I don't give a **** that it "hi-flow". Has anyone ever tried it and if not, yay or nay?

watch out a lot of the hi-flow "cats" are not cats at all, they are just test pipes.

A real cat should cost you $100++, most of those test pipes are about $20 on ebay.

This is jsut a test pipe. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...wItem

These are actually cats: http://www.modacar.com/product...DAHFC/

now will this test pipe fit will as a replacement for the cat? and once i replace that with a new o2 sensor, will it usually turn the check engine light off?

SMSP offers cats that will bolt right up in place of your exisiting unit, and funtion as a true catalytic converter, not just a test pipe.
