Car Will start but will not stay running. Throwing codes 8 and 16. Replaced the fuel filter,........there is fuel pressure at the filter too.
My dinky manual calls code 8 TDC position and 16 Fuel Injectors. I adjusted the valves the other day and it has been running fine untill last night. Car would not start after a whole day of driving, it sat waiting for a tow truck and about 1.5hrs later it started up and I barley made it home. (had to keep the gas on while at idle or it would have stalled) now its in garage and it wont start again.
Help Please! what are the proper engine codes ???

 

The TDC sensor is in the distributor. Make sure you didn't pinch or break a wire when you replaced the valve cover. The injector code 16 will set if there is a break in the electrical path for the injectors. That path basically is ignition switch---main relay---injector resistors (if applicable)---injector coils---and then the ECU grounds the circuit---plus all the wiring in between. BTW, the main relay has two functions. It energizes the fuel pump, and the other half powers the injectors. I'd start with the relay after a visual check confirms everything else is OK.
