Default ok, shifter feels like i'm stirring a pot....

i went home for my break from work, it was fine then, then on the way back to work, my shifter suddleny has a whole **** load of play in it, it can be in gear and i can move it side to side like it's in neutral. when i get home i'm going to jack up the car and see what's going on, hopefully i'll just have to tighten something, but any ideas on what it could be? TIA

Open that bad boy up and check for the bushing in there might have came off, also if it's an aftermarket shifter check the bearing might be bad!

ok, just pulled out the shifter, it's the damn bearing, it just came apart. i pulled off the bolt from the shifter to the linkage, like 6 washers dropped out and i can see all the ball bearings in there. serves me right for buying a no name $30 shifter.
