I just finished shaving off my "Acura" and "RSX-S" off my 02 Type-S. I'm planning on replacing the front "A" with a red a red "H" but can't decide what to do in regards to the hatch. I browsed through the DC5 picture thread but haven't found what I'm looking for. Anyone who has one of styles that I'm contemplating about or even an opinion, would be a great help.

P.S. My car's a satin silver '02 but any pics are welcome.

Red H with the nice Integra badge on the left side and the Honda badge on the right. My friend is actually rocking a set like this. Its nice

 

I've got the silver iS badges on mine. Much better depending on your car color. Red ones get jacked like crazy where I used to live so wasn't going to risk a screw driver to my hatch/grill

 

does badgeless mean, filling in the holes with bondo and whatnot. if so, imma go with badgeless

My vote is for the Integra iS badges (silver), much cleaner and stocker looking.

The only reason why I voted red is because your front badge is going to be red. The hatch should definitely match whichever color you pick for the front bumper - otherwise it's going to look really weird.

X2. I mean, you're a boring regular teenager if you drive a Honda, but you're a RICH boring regular teenager if you drive an Acura! Guess which ones pick up more ladies?

 

first of all acura is a honda. Acura is owned by Honda. its just there luxury division flag name. just like lexus is with toyota and infinity is with nissan. second of all no where else in the world except for north america has acura. why dont you look all over the dc5 and u'll see a bunch of honda parts on there. so why dont u do ur reaserch before u put people on blast about changing the A to an H. Honestly i would rather have the dc5 under its true maker and under its true name but we cant have it like that here in the US.

 

I'm pretty sure everyone here on Honda-Tech knows the corporate relationship between Acura and Honda. Yes, North America, and soon Japan, will be the only places in the world to have Acura. Ok, so what? Should we fall in line with rest of the world? Convert to right side drive, call the trunk a boot, a sedan a saloon?

And to most chicks not already in the Honda scene, all else equal, a guy driving an Acura is more appealing than a Honda driver. It's materialistic, its about status, and bank accounts. I think they call it nesting. Although someone rolling up in a DC5 with H badges would prolly cause more confusion than anything.

BOTTOMLINE, what names and badges you want on your car is purely your choice. Its your money, and you have to look at it everyday. Be happy with it. Personally I prefer the A badge on my Honda-built Acura. But I also prefer the Integra name over RSX. Hence my previous comment

Exactly. I mean, I can understand if someone likes the way "Integra" looks better than "RSX" (which, I personally think would be a great name for an AWD sport compact competing directly against the WRX) but everytime I see a DC5 with a Honda Integra badging, I automatically categorize them as "JDM hoar".

The last thing I want is a girl who likes my car instead of me.

For one thing, a chick who digs Acuras over Hondas has pretty low aspirations. She should be chasing owners of Mercedes, Ferraris, Porsches, Range Rovers, or high-dollar machinery like that. Acura is small potatoes in the world of gold digging.

All I ask in a girl is that she understands my enthusiasm for cars. Bonus points if she digs cars, too.
