driver side window wont roll up...HELP PLEASE!!!!
like the topic say's...my driver side window wont roll up...it make's a weird noise when i try to roll it up...it's power window's by the way...but yeah...is the window motor gone?!?or do i just need to take out the door panel and do a lil somethin to fix it...door panel is pretty hard for me to take off too...ANY HELP WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED!!!thanks...
is this sound you hear similiar to gears grinding? if so the motor is most likely jamming, and youll need a new one. try hitting the door panel right aound where the motor is, as you hold the button up, sometimes the motor will free itself allowing the window to go up. But pull the panel off and make sure your window regulator is OK.
i'll try that...but i've been having trouble gettin the door panel out...how many screw's do i need to take out...it's a 4 door integra...i took out 3 screw's...the one's that were only visible...is there anymore?!?but if the motor is out, how much is a new one?!?but yeah the noise i hear is somewhat of a jamming noise and something like crumbling...but yeah thanks for the help!!!anymore would help...
Sounds like the motor's jamming.
There's 4-5 screws on the door panel, you may have to dig and search for it. Then you have to pull the panel off of all of the clips, it's a real pain in the ***.

you can get a motor at a salvage yard it would be your cheapest bet. just dont cut your hands on the inside of the door, and make sure you have the glass held when you unbolt it from the regulator. relubeing the regulator with white grease and some spray silicone in your window runners wouldnt hurt when you reasemble everything.
i know my regulator is bad in my civic. mine jumps track and it takes about 20 mins to fix. it sounds like your window might have jumped track if it wont go up all the way then that is more than likely what happened. if it goes up with help its either the regulator or the motor. once you get into the door panel its pretty easy. the panels are held on by the screws on your hand pocket and by the door handle itself, then there are the screws by the speaker if its your front door. there should be three of them. then slowly and gently but with some force pull it slowly working your way around the door panel away from the clips. if they stay in the door itself thats fine you can remove them and replace them back into the panel for re-installing later. you more than likely wont be able to see the regulator or the motor they are hidden behind the door casing.
what happen was that when i got to the store i was rolling my window up i heard some loud bang/pop/crack noise...so i rolled my window back down and it stopped like half way...and i tried rollin it back up, but it wouldnt so i pulled it up a lil bit and went inside...then as i was leaving i tried to roll it down but it only went down as much as i pulled it up...the next thing i know i turned to look to my right then i turn back to look to my left and the window went all the way down by itself...which leave's me to where i am now!!!...
