Default ZC SOHC non-vtec = d16a6 ????

I'm hoping somebody can help me out.

I'm helping a friend tune-up a '91 Si with a SOHC ZC non-vtech (black valve cover). He just bought the car for $600.

Anyways, we are trying to figure out what part set to use. We are looking to replace the timing belt, drive belts, spark plugs, etc and don't know how to find the correct parts.

After some reading, it seams that the ZC engine he has is identicle to the stock d16a6 motor except for the cams. Is this true?

If this is true, then the stock Si parts and repair manuals should work. Anybody know where to get a PDF repair manual?

Thanks,

Oh yeah. I read this forum all the time but this is my first post here. I own a supercharged EP3 and bounce around many Honda forums.

It's not like I didn't search. I admit to being a d series noob, but I did quite a bit of Google and Honda-tech searching trying to find this answer.

I would like to know what keywords you would use to get this answer in the first 3 pages of a search. Most ZC info is for the SOHC vtec or the DOHC non-vtec.

still recent.

front page.

search "sohc" alone will get a lot of results, easy to filter the SOHC ZC threads.

Half the time I forget my ZC isn't the stock D16A6. It's a good thing they're the same damn engine.

ZC info is pretty damn hard to find though. This engine doesn't exist to 90% of the Honda community. The only ZC according to them is the DOHC POS. Add to that that you can't search "ZC" on Honda Tech, and I think this post deserves the one sentence response it initially got.
