Well after thinking and thinking about how much I would love to have navigation in my car, and getting lost in the worst part of Philly Saturday night, I decided that it was time to look for another navi unit despite my previous troubles with thieves. So I just bought the Pioneer AVIC-N1 and had a couple questions for people that have it installed in their FGs.
1. Did you install it yourself, or take it to a shop? If you did it yourself, how was the install? I have installed headunits, but I think this is a little over my head.
2. Do your steering wheel controls still work? Where did you buy the adapter from?
3. How do you like it? Any experience with other navi units?
Thanks for all the help.

It the plans though. But I spoke with the folks that did the sub/amp/deck install for me on my EM1. Becuase I'm not good with that type of stuff, I'd be letting them do it, and they don't charge much extra if you buy from there
2. Do your steering wheel controls still work? Where did you buy the adapter from? That same stereo shop also said they would be able to keep my steering wheel controls with in dad navi unit
3. How do you like it? Any experience with other navi units? ?? dunno yet, but i'm sure i'd love it!
Thanks for all the help.

Haha. Thanks for the reply. Finally some info. I am going to go to a shop and let them install it, but I don't want them charging me like $500 to install it since I purchased it privately. I am suppose to receive the package today, so I will let everyone know how it looks.
