Need help with b16/b18 setup in eg
Me and my buddy bought a project car. We found an Eg with a gsr bottom and b16 head(both '00). The guy we bought the car from said he put eagle rods and pistons in it. I didn't know eagle made pistons. Honestly, I'm not concerned with whats in the motor because we plan on building a low 11 turbo set up. My concern is getting the car running well so we can have some fun with it while doing body work and getting a game plan and parts together for the build.
The guy said they just did the swap with no tuning and while it pulls strong we know it has some more to unleash. He said we need to get injectors and a tune which is obvious from the clicking they were making but I had some questions. Injectors are tricky, you just don't throw them in and haul *** so this is what I had in mind. Buy cam gears, 310 injectors, W/B with gages, ecu re-flash and find a local tuner and take it to the dyno. I hate re-flashes but until we plan the turbo set up I don't want to decide on EMS yet and maybe you guys will say a re-flash is not needed. The head does have AEM fuel rail with pressure regulator and PSI gages. Also, where do I look to see what ECU we have, p28 etc. We are going to get a compression test,
Any suggestions and comments will be very helpful! Once again, keep in mind we just want to get this motor running well to have some fun with till the build so I'd like to limit the amount of parts that won't be able to be used during the turbo build.
Also, is it an option to buy injectors big enough for a turbo build but just have them scaled back?

I found out some info on the motor. 2000 b18c1 block with golden eagle rods, je pistons(12.5:1) topped with a 2000 b16 head with gsr cams and arp head bolts and p28 cpu. What hp potential does this have if we add cam gears, 310 injectors and tune.
