i need some help or info on my car, it's a stock 98Ls the car drives for a day or as long as the charge in the battery will hold up, and then the radio shuts off, the tach & mph will drop to zero then my car will just die... i replaced the alternator and bought a new battery.. same problem.. any ideas on how to correct it?

 

have u checked all your fuses? was the alternator new or did u get a used one if so did u test it?

 

under the hood or under the steering wheel? i bought a new alternator from kragen a basic one not any of that led fancy stuff.. how would you test it before putting it in?

 

If you mean how to test a alternator? all you do is go to kragen and autozone, i think they have a alternator tester or something
