HI, recently came upon this pic of RSX with painted breaks and RSX written on it, just trying to see if anyone else around here has done this mod... main question is though where to get the STENCIL of the RSX lettering ??? or is it a vinyl?

You can paint the calipers and apply a decal, but under the heat and weather they have been known to chip or peal. The best way is to paint on the letters.

To paint them on:
Pre- step. You will need to make a stencil for size and then cut out the letters in painters tape.

1. You will need to prep the calipers and paint them white. After about 2 or 3 coats, make sure they are DRY!

2. Then you can apply the lettering you made out of the tape.

3. Once the letters are in place paint the whole caliper agin the color of choice. 2 or 3 coats should do it.

4. After it has again had aduquit dry time peel of the lettering slowley to reveal your white RSX lettering on your calipers.

It also doesn't hurt to put on some clear coat in the end.

Remeber, whatever the first or base color is that you apply will the the color of the lettering!!

 

this is not necessarily true 100% of the time. I painted mine and put RSX decals on my calipers and they are still on there after 3 years (but they could use a repainting).

k20tuners method is probably the best way to go though, but it takes more time and may not come out the way you want them to
