Break lights stuck on!

Default Break lights stuck on!

ok so i drive a 88 dx civic hatch...as i was trying to leave work my car wouldnet do anything..after i got jumped off i went home and notice only my break lights were stuck on i need help can anyone help me ?

like normal like when the lights are on......with the car offand lights off and out of the car the break lights are still on

try changing your stop light switch.

My problem was that there is a gromet that the break pedal switch hits and mine was broken. i took a felt bottom for like a table leg and put it in its place. on my 88 it is a plastic gromet piece and on my 91 they replaced it with a metal filler piece. it is a pretty common prob for the 88's i think

, this happened to me as well , it's common , quick fix though.
Just pick up a new plug at Honda for around a dollar , I got a extra one to keep in the glove box for a spare.
