Default LEAKDOWN/COMPRESSION TEST $$

How much are your local shops charging for leakdown and compression tests? I'd like to compare the prices - please list where you had the tests done and the final prices - thx

Compression test you can rent the kit at Autozone and they'll return your money when you return the tool and you can do it yourself. Leak down test its kind of harder, it'll require that you have a air compressor and the test kit itself. Last time I check the Snap On leak down test kit here in my town was about $200 thats if a mechanic buys it for me.

But on other note my friend charges people $80 to do compression test and leak down test. reason being is because they both take less than an hour and he charges people $80 an hour for labor.
