Default So we have this really cool CNC at work

That uses melted PVC to make prototype parts for our engineering department.

I've always had a problem with my PLX wideband's screen "washing" in the sun. You just can't see **** when the suns shining on the screen.

So, I got an idea. I thought it'd be super cool to use that machine to make a little hood for the wideband, so it would be shaded from the sun.

Anyways, here's the pictures. Im sure the design will change a bit. I plan on revising it due to a few things I just don't like. (it could fit better)

Works like a champ

Sorry about the shitty cam/phone pics. It's all i have right now.

It's plastic, so I can't polish the top.

Painting it black is on the list..... Just finalizing the design.

I can probably make one for you ..... I'll see if the boss will allow me to use it for personal work.

I would just need measurments, and a basic scetch of what you'd want.

I'll look in to it

If there is enough interest in these, they may be made for sale.

I'll be speaking with the boss sometime this week.

Its a a no-go on making a bunch of them.....

We're too busy to produce them. Hell, even my revision of the hood is a month or two out.

ya know you could make alot of money if you created parts on the weekends. I know lots of guys that do that. I wish I had that kind of equipment to use.

Guy at the porsche club made so many poarts for me. I think I paid for one of his kids semester at college
