Default So my clutch took a dive this weekend.. *pics*

So me the wife and a couple buddies head down to the track just to see what kind of 1/4 mile times we get, especially myself, since i havent gone yet this year! It all started while cruisin down the highway, when i tried to downshift to 4th and i had trouble gettin it in there, but eventually it went in.
We get to the track, my first run i misshifted into second so i just coast the rest of the way and got a 24 second run
Then i line it up again, got a nice launch, had trouble goin into second with a bit of a grind, then 3rd went hard, and then i put it in 4th, next thing i knew my rpm shoot way up while still in 4th, then the loudest grindin noise ever, so i quickly pull to the side and bring it to neutral but leave the motor running. at this point, as i press the clutch pedal down a bit, it starts to make grindin noise and will not go into any gear without grindin even more. Thats when i get a tow truck to take my ITR home, and thanks to a buddy for the madd hook up from his CAA

So on the way is a new clutch kit and flywheel most likely, and i hope my tranny is still ok.

Did you mis-shift or just not get it in gear when you went for second?

Anyway, if it's just the clutch you have no worries. Looks like it was time anyway as there's not much friction material left and it looks like some is coming off the backing.

most likely the same one, ACT with the heavy duty pressure plate and 6 puck race disc, theres nothing that i didnt like about this clutch, but it just went with no real warning though.

yea, that pin holdin the linkage was a bitch to get out, so rather than try to hammer it out with watever tools and damagin it, i just unbolted it from under the shifter, easy enough, lol.
Yep, car was originally CW.

naw....next time you can just use the exhaust bolt that attaches to the cat. converter.

The two with springs. It's the perfect size to knock out that bitch pin.

I don't see the drive shaft in the picture, did you leave it attached to the transmission when you pulled it?

I'm curious how many miles, how much power and how many 1/4 mile passes are on that?
