nah it sucked threw my filter past my throttle body, flew threw the valve, snuck past my piston rings, bounced on the crank shaft a few times and got sucked up by my magnetic oil plug

but really though it looks like one of the oil pick up nuts.. i changed the gasket on that 5 k miles ago... and i got it fairly tight so i dont know how it jar'd its self loose

I get red X's, but how in the world can a nut go through your air filter (hole in it maybe?) and then, (I've seen stuff get past the valves before) past your piston rings? You do realise there's only micrometers of clearence in the bore? Unless that's on really small nut, or your piston has a hole in it, I'm not buying it. More info please.

yeah piston ar elike thousand's of a mm.
if there was a huge gap than you would never get compression inside the cylinder.

i wouldn't be too scared of it being sucked up into your motor. i would be scared the pickup might not seal well, and you starve your motor of oil.

Well yes I was scared for both of those reasons.

UPDATE: Got the oil pan off and it was a bolt! It looked like a nut from the oil pan drain hole but it was a bolt from one of the oil pickup mounts!
