Default Loss of HP after a couple runs

Hey whats up guys hopefully u guys can help me out cuz i have no clue what this can be. I havea 04 rsx type-s with comptech full race header and an injen cold air intake. A while back i took my car to get dynoed with just the intake , it made 170 whp the first run after 2nd run it droped to 150 whp thats alot of loss. The guys said that when it gets hot thats where im loosing it he said it might be a cloged cat. So later on i got a comptech full race header which eliminates the cat, we dyno it and it gave out 190whp after a couple runs it droped to 175 whp, so i was kinda lost at this time. I jsut came back from the track in fontana my first 2 runs i ran a 14.7 afer that it was 14.8 then a 14.9 then a 15.0 thing is my 60 foot when up from a 2.3 to a 2.5 and the rest jsut gets worst lol does ne one know what can this be??????? pls help thanks

most likly its the heat. your engine will get hotter and your performance will decrease. let the car cool between multiple runs.

I do concure. On the dyno give a minute between runs and like the man said bring ice or a BIG fan. On the track try heat wrapping some stuff like the intake and exhaust manifold. Also it couldn't hurt to put on a new intake gasket like a hondata. And for even more stuff, on the Hondata website they even give pointers on running more consistent dyno numbers.

If you plan it out right, you can also run the radiator fans with the engine off to cool it down. Put the key in the ignition, turn it to "on" but don't start the car, and turn on the vent fan & air conditioning.

However, if you plan it out wrong, you could run those fans too long, end up with an almost dead battery, and have to start asking around the pits for a starter battery so that you could jump your own car. Ask me how I know.

Did you go saturday or Sunday. Because we went sunday and my bro (5poonhatch) has the yellow hatch. We were under a rec canopy. The rsx went through 5 bags of ice. Before every run the engine was cold. We even skipped a run so it can cool off. They didnt let me run (5poonhatch) because i was too young. Im only 17. Gay **** man.

i don't know if the rsx has twin fans, but on my miata, i wired the AC fan in parallel to the radiator fan for a little extra cooling. the AC fan only comes on in the miata when the AC is on, by wiring them together, they both turn on at the same time, irregardless if the AC is on or not. with the enclosed engine bay the miata has (flip-up headlights and small radiator opening) it helps.

just an idea.
