Default Transmission

Any one know what kind of tranny im getting with this swap all he kept telling me was it came out of a civic so im guessing s1 but it could be a j1....does any one know

If he can't even read you what the tranmission code is I'd be a little skeptical. How come you didn't go with H-Motors, they are only asking 1250 for the same product with a stellar reputation behind it.

If it came from a Civic or CRX, it is likely a Y1. S1s and J1s came from Integras IIRC.

I called them for straight month or even maybe 2 months and all they kept saying is we dont have it then then finally told me they dont know when there going to get one in


alright but when it gets here is there anything on the tranny that tells you what it is?

Hmotors has been sold out on a lot of stuff lately...first gen B16 swaps, all the single cam stuff...its a good idea to call like two weeks in advance just to give them a heads up.

Back on subject can any one tell me if you can identify a transmission like if they have a code on it or any thing that tells you if its a y1 s1 or j1?? Would like to know

It will have a small gold colored sticker on it:
Look where the green connector is..that is an S1.
