Default Window Vent/Wind deflectors Question?

So I'm in a predicament...my Prelude doesn't have AC, the one part I need isn't manufactured anymore and none of the dealers I've called carry it. Looks like I'm not getting AC any time soon.

Problem is I live in Texas and it's hot as a bastard, so I have to roll with the windows down, but after awhile on the highway I get tired of the noise and having to push my stereo to it's limits to drown it out, so I've been thinking about those wind deflector / vent shade things.

Who's got them? Do they still let enough air in to keep me cool, or will they deflect it all and leave me hot and hating myself?

I had them on my last car, they would be worthless in your situation. They will not let enough air in to keep you cool, even if you are going down the interstate at higher speeds. Basically, they are good for leaving the windows cracked when you are not in the car, while raining, or if you smoke they are convienent. What part are you looking for to fix the A/C?

a lotta people on this board have ditched their A/C so maybe take a look at the classifieds for people parting out old stuff, and place a WTB ad in the appropriate section.. you'll probably pay way less than buying one brand new.
