Default cut springs

I know I'm going to catch hell for this but then again o well. I have a set of integra shocks and springs and I wanted to know something. How many coils do you have to cut to get a nice even stance with stock si wheels?? I know this is the wrong way to drop a car but I'm just trying to make the sell and be done and where I'm selling the car at they call this a "soutside custom drop" LoL so it was going to be done anyways. Thanx in advance

also the car has a ls motor in it.

Its not worth it. Keep it stock. Cutting your springs makes your take the risk of losing control of the vehicle at the wrong time. Cutting changes spring rate between all 4 springs because nothings perfect.

If it helps, cut the same amount at the exact same location the stock spring ended/began.Try ttaking a turn and pulling a 180.

I'm going alone the lines of 3 coils in the back and 2 coils in the front. Why 2 in the front you might ask B/C b series stuff is not light.

Front and rear are different, obviously.

Id suggest cutting 1 in the back and 2 in the front, if not 2 and 2. Try to keep it even with more traction in the front. You do not want a lower ride in the back because of severe traction loss, a loss of respect, and you will completely shift your camber and oversteer.

if ur going to cut stock springs, your better of getting some 60 dollar coilovers from ebay....they'll work better than cutting springs....

i once heard of baking your springs in an oven. heard that it smells really bad but does lower ride height a bit.

*disclaimer* take the springs off of the struts first!!

I cut about 2 coils in the front and I forgot how many off the rear, probably 2 coils aswell. I seriously thought 2 coils would dump it but my car isn't that low. I'm going to guess 2 coils = 1.5 inches.

A car is worth more with unmolested stock suspension.

So you are selling a car with cut springs to someone or a shop? I feel sorry for the next person thinking they are getting a lowered car, then their cut springs go out on them and they wreck or something. If that place is going to do it, let them cut the springs and it not be on your conscience. Its not going to get you more money b/c you were cheap and cut them.
