Default Headgasket Issue? Losing coolant and burning lots of oil

Heres some background info. H23 no-vtec . Pulled head few months back had it cleaned and all valves refaced head was also surfaced.

Put in new stem seals. Put head back on with new Headgasket but Used the same
stock head bolts and torqued abt 5 lbs more than spec.

Then about 2 weeks later i start to notice heavy smoking under hard acceleration. Im burning a good bit of oil usually around 1 quart a week.

Im also losing coolant. Im having to add each week. It isnt leaking or boiling over. BUt the day after i had the head back on it started to overheat which it has never done before but didnt go past 3/4.

Checked my radiator cap it looked bad . SO i got another one and havent had an issue with it at all. Compression looked like 185 180 160 190 .

Im leaning toward the rings being shot but why is it burnin coolant all of a sudden? I notice in the morning it blows out silver white smoke.

I just want to know some opinions here if it could in fact be a headgasket . I have a spare h23 layin around that ill swap in if its not the headgasket.

"""also car stills pulls hard as hell, feels just as fast as ever and my times are right up there like usual.

Did you change your IM gasket? see if the coolant is leaking in from there or not.

Yeah, I vote headgasket or IM gasket....could be a little tiny crack in one of them.

Perhaps you should have resurfaced the block with the head. When it gets hot, they will shape together, and when you resurfaced the head, it doesn't mate precisely to the block
