i want to put in a sunroof on my 90 lx. would i be better off trying to retrofit a factory one or just buy a generic popout unit and start hacking away?

 

you could try and find a whole roof from a 4 door with a sunfoor in it and try doing it that way. it will need a lot of fabbing skills and paticence and money.

i don't really like after market sunroofs because they tend to leak

id say rock stock or leave it alone

 

i would hire someone to do it. like a pro sunroof place. because everyone that i know who has installed there own sunroof, it ends up leaking everywhere
