when fitfreak.net comes back online, talk to a guy named zeta products. He has 2 styles (folding and non-folding) and his products are top class!! they are also cheap prices!

I have the JDM armrest / centre console. Best one that you can get out there. No need to screw into your cupholder and leave 4 ugly holes there. Replaces the entire centre console, 2 clips and 2 screws. Less than 10 mins to install!

thats nice but i'd rather pay $80 for an aftermarket armrest that fits and looks OEM instead of a $200 jdm one thats just IMHO but to each his own.

I like the JDM console and plan to get one, frankly I don't see why Honda didn't just make it OEM to begin with. The cabin looks empty without it plus it offers great multi-functionality.

It is OEM...which is why it mounts as if Honda designed it to be there.

It just sucks that whoever is in charge didn't see or care to convince or have the foresight to have this piece available as a dealer/factory USDM option.

But whatever, it keeps the good guys like A&J in business....

LOL yeah that was good.

I plan on getting the JDM one or waiting until Honda wises up and releases it as an accessory in the US, bc virtually everyone I know with a Fit doesnt like the lack of armrest.

I think the fixed full-sized looks OEM, but that car just needs it; I don't care what it looks like and I am getting a beige interior - I think the fixed only comes in black?

pretty much. you could probably dye it, but i haven't seen the beige interior enough to know if the plastic is beige to match the seats or not.

also, wow, my sig is way outdated. 02wrx wagon->05 STi (current)->hopefully 07 fit sport mt soon.

wedding + house + "you can get laid in it" cargo area + i drive all damn day > fAstEsZt KaR evAr (ok ok, srt4 is the fastest car evAr)

Does this armrest have any drawbacks? How does it affect "refresh mode"?

"Refresh Mode" is folding the front seats flat where you can sit in the back seat and stretch out.

When I bought my DC2 (used), I test drove a DC5 the same day, and the first thought was, "Where did the armrest go?"

Years later, after I bothered to learn to drive correctly (both hands on the wheel, instead of one on the shifter "Cali style"), I now find the armrest in my DC2 to be in the way...

Maybe Honda wants us to drive correctly?

I noticed that as well, in my Fit I keep both my hands on the steering wheel, whereas in my M3, I keep my arm on the armrest. Interestingly enough, I feel safer without the armrest there... hahaha.

But I'm still gonna invest in a cheapo one (like the one from hondafittuner). Function over form :D And i'm not ready to drop 300 in for a center console! Though it looks enticing...
