Tein hood damper bolts.
If you ever consider, are considering or have a set of tein hood dampers, the instructions will say to use the new bolts that come with it to install the bracket on the hood. DON'T!!!! Go to Advance or somewere and buy a set of high quality ones for 2 bucks. I put on a set and for the first month it was GREAT, but then it got loose and when I tried to tighten them the damn bolt broke off in the hood! Don't get me wrong it is a great product, but they send you suckey bolts?.
I used my old bolts at first. Then, later that day, I decided to use the ones Tein included in the kit. The first one broke. Good thing that I have broken many bolts in the past, so when this one went I could feel just as it broke. Then I just backed it out and the whole thing came out. I went right back to the original bolt. They have been fine for the last month or so.
I think the are great. All you do is pop the hood and she floats up on her own. But I don't think they work on carbon-fiber though because of the weight difference. Try sending Tein an e-mail to make sure.
