Default Before I go APESHIT w/ the grinder.....Please Help!!

Ok guys I got a BBK t-body for my extrude honed b17a intake for my little CTR project motor. The problem is if you port match it you have to grind the **** out of your intake. The little thing that flows warm coolant through the t-body won't fit either. I know people that have by-passed that without a problem, so thats not that big of an issuse. What is an issue is the two chambers on the back of the intake. If I hog out the whole to accept this beast it will end up piping them straight into the intake tract. Is that ok? I really don't know what they do. BBK directions said nothing about port matching it I just assumed that is the right thing to do. I have pictures here check them out. http://www.geocities.com/crxbart/bbkt-body
I need help soon too guys, the head is on, finally, and the intake is next.

Cliff note: BBK T-body has some mounting issues
Look at my pics
let me know what to do [IMG][/IMG]

Yowza, man. That looks like a handful... Is that one of the 70m tb's?

I can tell you this, those holes in the intake are routing lines for the idle air bypasses, and intake air temp sensors on some cars...

if they holes are matched up, I don't know how the car would react, but it might not idle, or might idle wayyyy too high.

I know it's gunna be tough, but see if you can find a stock intake manifold for CHEAP, swap all your sensors over, and bore it out, and start the car to see how it acts before fuggin up your $400 extruded manifold.

THat's just my personal opinion... better safe than sorry. BTW, b16a intake manifolds are a dime a dozen, so find one of those, it should be the exact same thing as your b17 mani.

Hope this helps.

That looks like enough clearance for a plate .. just make sure to silicone it tight so you dont get vacume leak's ... i would definently get the TB portmatched or else wuts the freakin point of having one and.. also make sure you get the right gasket for the Tb or your gonna have problems with vacume again..

WELD THAT SOB SHUT WITH A THIN PIECE OF SHEET METAL.

Yeah that is the big bad 70mm. Thanks for your insight. I think I might forward these pics to BBK and see what they think. Their customer service really sucks ***. You call their tech line and they tell you to fax in your problem. That is bullshit, I will never buy anything from these ******** again. I guess I'll have to do more researce and have more delays. I'm not whinning I just don't want anyone else to get screwed like I did. I can't figure out why it would block off iac? thanks again man

This just in the skunk2 manifold does't have the vents, WTF? It has one small vent probally for the map sensor. I dunno, I'm confused, frustrated and ready to launch my new BBK POS at a stop sign. The BBK gasket blocks the holes, WTF? Why would all of these companys block off the AIC? Or is it not used on the newer motors? I would assume it would have to be there.
