Default ITB...worth it for the $$ ?

Ive been looking around and have been quoted around $1600 for TWM itbs for the lude. Even if i tackled the DIY itbs it would still be pricey. A local shop said that they dont yeild high gains even on a built motor and arent really worth the money. Ive heard different things about them. Are ITBs really worth the money for an all motor build or am i better off doing a euro r manifold and big bore throttle body ?

dont go to that shop anymore.

TWM's are too big for a stock internal motor, IMO atleast.

stop hearing and speculating and do some research to find out for yourself.

the all motor forum is full of ITB info.

I wouldn't go with ITB's either. I would go with the Euro R im or hell even that RLZ im that was just on here. Sucka made 252whp with headroom left. That too however will probaly cost around a grand or so at least. I would think Euro R im would be costly too.

Euro R is cheap compared to ITB's or custom IM's

I agree. If you have to deal with winter... a custom IM might be the way to go. The RLZ IM looks good and obviously makes power, but I wonder how much compared to ITB's.

2point6 made decent power with a Euro R, I believe. Its hard to compare the #'s until we see some dynojet #'s from JD3.
