Default my home made turbo project rex

hi HT, after reading and reading tons of info, i bought all the things for my turbo setup, a subaru impreza turbo

and Mitsubishi Evo 3 fron mount intercooler, STD manifold, and all the other little things left, i'm running a d15b vtec on a PM6, i need fuel management and some help with TURBO-EDIT, i cant make my own maps so i'll use one of the BINS from the turbo-edit website, is that ok?!

every car is different, your best bet is to use a base map until you find someone that can tune it properly.

Well my 89 std came with that type of manifold as well.

The project looks good, how much did you end up spending on your hmt kit?

There are three manifolds that could be use for this type of purpose and they all look alike

use xenocron's basemapper to get you in the ballpark for your setup. you may want to buy a wideband o2 meter to figure out where you are at with regard to a/f ratio. you did well so far in getting the right parts for your junkyard turbo setup. now just make sure you do the right thing and dont just run a basemap all the time. take it to some place to have them tune it if you need to,or ask around on the HT board for someone to help you.

No fuel mangaement, you may want to turn that boost down as low as it can go...or is 6psi as low as it goes?
Any more pics??

one of the only areas where you have to worry about a rocket blowing up your motor instead of the turbo

Do you have a 2nd O2 somewhere else other than in the manifold?
I'd also be careful of the yellow vacuum hoses, they are prone to collapsing under vauum.

Man dont boost around on it! you will kill your motor! and ONLY 6psi is way too much! perhaps if you said ONLY 1 psi I might undertsand ... but not 6psi lol

390cc injectors should do you fine with a good base map, then get a wide banned 02 sensor and air/fuel gauge and tune it yourself ''since you have no dyno'', and also look at a good fuel pump like walbro 255 but you will need a fuel pressure regulator with it as you will run a bit too rich ''too rich is better then too lean thougth''
I would also recommend an external wastegate so you can run a low boost at your own will.
