Update - 11/21/06
I guess its been awhile since I've posted an update on things. The R is still sitting in the garage/driveway and needs to be taken to the body shop asap if I ever hope of getting her to expo this year. Despite how it looks, there has been a lot of progress made haha.

stripped interior, ready to go to the body shop

<FONT SIZE="4">Update: 4/19/2007</FONT>
<FONT SIZE="3"><FONT COLOR="red">JDM Front End Conversion and Suspension</FONT></FONT>
I refreshed the suspension with Orijin Motorsports Front LCA Spherical Bearings, Orijin Motorsports Front UCA Bushings, OEM shock fork bushings, new wheel bearings, new lower ball joints, and wheel studs.
Big thank you to Sander
I also finished the JDM front end conversion without any issues. I used the upper half of the JDM radiator support to hybrid with my USDM radiator support. I finished up the headlight wiring and used the Euro/JDM fog light switch as well.

upper half of the USDM radiator support removed.

front suspension removed to be refreshed with new ball joints, wheel bearings, bushings, etc

I went ahead and put in the carpet (thanks Josh) and the front seats. I also threw on a sweet forest green rear bumper and flat black spoiler. More updates soon!

<FONT SIZE="4">Update: 9/24/2007</FONT>
So it turns out that registering a salvaged vehicle is much more trouble than its worth. That being said, I decided that I'd have to dedicate this R to weekends at the track. So first thing's first, make it safe. Mitch Piper seemed like the right man for that job. Painting it was such a PITA.
Coming Soon (sitting in the living room): Recaro SPG's and Willans 6 Point Harnesses

wow...still has tail lights too!!! all it looks like it needs is a JDM front, can't tell it there is an engine, but most likely one of those, and a rear bumper. interior can come later
Nice find!

from the way the front is being lifted by the suspension, i imagine the engine is missing.

Very nice pickup. Great to see another R being rebuilt. I still can't believe how much is left though (if indeed it is a theft recovery). Props to you though man for taking on the project.

Just a quick question in general because I'm a bit curious, when people rebuild R's do they most likely put in a diffrent motor, like the k20, or do most build them to original specs and include the C5?
