turn signal light is weird
for about a month, every now and then, when i signal left or right, it would flicker really fast and then stop, then do it again.. and go back to normal. keep in mind that all of these events occur randomly. there's no sequence. however, when i turn on the hazard light blinker ( both side would flash normally). right now, when i signal, it doesnt turn on at all, but the hazard light is unaffected. does this mean its time to replace the blinker relay under the dash?

I would start w/ the bulbs, and then look at the relay. When your signals blink fast, what that is, is your car seeing a short in the circuit, so it hits the other bulb quicker, thus making it blink faster.
i checked the bulbs.. they are all fine. its not a consistent fast blinking... it's sometimes fast, and sometimes normal.... and when i say fast, its like 20 blinks in 1 seconds. try to blink ur eyes as fast as u can. that's how it is.
update guys. i pulled the turn signal relay out from under the dash. the piece saids "MITSUBA FR-3309". with it out, turn signals and hazard does not work. is there another relay that controls the turn signal? with it in, my hazard works fine. but from the looks of it, this relay i pulled controls both. so i don't know if it is this one. i took it apart and i see no physical defeats ( i see a electromagnetic coil, 4 capacitors 2 of which are cylindrical, and 2 are pancakes, a chip and a piece of wire).
pins are labelled B, L, and E.

The bulbs are most likely loose...If you've ever replaced your bulbs, depending on the replacement brand - they may flicker due to an inconsistancy in the connection..I put amber bulbs in my corners made by GE Corp. and they flickered and sometimes didnt even come on - I switched companys and now there are no problems.
(Just hope its a $1 prob. and now a relay disaster :-/ )

thanks everyone for your inputs. they are helping me narrow down what is not wrong and pin pointing the problem. all the bulbs look good. they all turn on blink normally. it is sometimes that it blinks fast or not at all. sometimes, it would do half blinks so fast like a machine gun fires. it might be a loose connection some where. imagine how your speakers sound will sound when you slide the Y terminals over the screw terminal while music is playing. it sounds like static, but apply this to the lights. ( this is the best analog i can think of ).

aight guys..... here is an update on the turn signals..... this will sound really weird.
sometimes, the turn signal will not blink at all. but when it does blink abnormally fast, it is when the rpm is between 3-5rpm. i noticed this as i was slowing to an intersection. the blink speed would be really fast, then slow to a normal speed.
does anyone know what is going on? this is a very unusual phenomenon and would probably take an expert to solve.

I think what is happening is there is an excessive vibration within the front clip of the car for the bulb to handle (loose or bad connection). When in the 3-5k rpm range, the car experiences its highest amount of vibration(many aftermarket exhaust systems may rub the b-pipe during this rpm range) - When the car begins vibrating at this rpm range, it is entirely possible that the connection between the bulb and the conductor is becoming separated very quickly back and forth yielding the flickering. Like I said before - take the bulb out and you will see 2 little tabs on either side of the bulb and make sure they are keeping the circuit closed. Play around with it while the corner light is out and see if you shake the light when the illumination ceases. Repost, im curious to see if this "phenomenon" is indeed that or just the vibrations.

i doubt it but i will check. when this happens i would switch on my hazard and it blinks fine. therefore, there is something wrong with the turn signal. since the bulbs share the same circuit for both turn signal and hazard, i dun think it can be the bulb terminals.
however, a friend of mine that does a lot of engine swaps, and audio, and alarm installations ( almost an expert in fact) said that hazard switch and turn signal switch have their own ground, but share the same flasher relay. so therefore, the turn signal ground might have came loose and is jiggling at those rpms. this makes more sense because the hazard light works fine, assuming its ground is solid.
here is the schematics of his reason: (ignore all the periods)
