i needed a new cat on mine when i got it smoged. I would change back to stock air box and do a new cat, pretty sure that should fix it.

 

HC means excessive unburned fuel or misfire it is usually the spark plugs, wires, cap and rotor. What is your CO and NOX levels? maybe I can see what kind of problem you have by seen the other numbers. OOO also a lack of fuel will cause the HC to go hi but you would have hi NOX and very low CO because it will be considered a lean mixture.
