Default Question about Integra Front Lip with Pics...

i bought a front lip for my 96 integra. i was told it was a wings west lip but thats beside the point....i honestly have no idea how to mount it. its not like any lip ive seen. it doesnt look like the lip on the wings west website, and i enlisted the help of Grease Monkey and we were both just looking at it thinking, "how in the expletive?" so heres a few pics of the lip....

we got it home and got looking at it and realized it was easier said than done. on the wings west site, it says that its sposed to replace the whole bottom portion of the bumper, for anyone that knows anything bout integras, you know what im talking about. but it would be no lower if i did that. and even if i do that, the corners dont go past the end to line up. they dont rest even and wont lay flat to put tape/screws in.

and yes, it will be painted. black for now, but ill have it paintmatched shortly. im just worried bout getting it to fit first.

heres the picture from the wings west website, see right above the vents it kinda rises up to meet with the top half of the bumper.

please help. thanks in advance.

its not authentic wings west. its ww styled, so i hope u didn't overpay. The stock lip has a bunch of clips and screws on it to hold the half lip. Doesn't look like your lip has those, so you'll have to drill your own.

-I think this just sits on top of the old lip. I don't think you'll need to take off the stock lip.

try to take off the lower part of the bumper (all those bolts) from the bigger part of the bumper. then, try to put the lower half into the lip, drill holes so that the bolts will go back through. then try to attach the stock bottom lip with the new lip allready attached onto the upper part of the bumper. get what i'm saying?

thanks for all the suggestions. i dont think i overpayed. it was only $50. but on the little decal on the inside of the lip, it says like, "94int..." and some other stuff. what confuses me is that you see on the ends of the lip, it kinda like curves up? when at first i tried to fit it, i took off the bottom portion of the bumper, and it didnt fit right. then we thought that maybe u take off the black lip on front, but i found out that its made onto the bottom portion. then we thought maybe we just have to cut off the black piece and mount it like that. we're still unsure and i really dont want to hacking up my stock bumper if its not going to fit and look terrible and then i'd have to buy a new front bumper. we'll prolly look at it some more this weekend. keep the suggestions coming

Authentic lips have "wings west" written on the inside.

For the real RS-II, you need to take off the bottom portion of your stock lip. The RS-II lip will have holes to allow a straight bolt on/zip lock.

It fits.

Just take off the bumper, and screw the sides at each end into the bumper, the the middle part will bolt/screw into the underside of the bumper.

It fits like the spoon lip.

You do not have the Wings West lip. Notice you're missing the piece that rises on the sides

i think you just have to trim it on the topside so it will fit on, the top lip should sit in the mouth of the bumper and the rest of that lip should be cut off if it is for your car.

That looks an awful lot like the lip on my buddy's dad's '00 Civic ...

I wouldn't bank on that fitting, or it even being for your application. Ah well, $50 isn't too much of a loss. At least you haven't FUBAR'd your bumper in the process.
