ecu help plz
whats it the ecu for the 99 prelude (stick) and does anyone know where to buy it pretty cheap? i looked in faqs did not find anything everytime i search online will not say it for the 99 lude base model usdm

Yea, P5M. Be careful not to get 97-98 ecu and run in 99-01 car. I forgot what the problem, but basically you can't start the car everytime you fill the gas. Trust me, I ran with 97 ecu in my 99 car before, and I could not figure out wth wrong until somebody posted in here. Try ebay.

No, that is a '96 ECU.
He needs a P5M, from a '99 model year. '97 and '98 ECUs lack proper emissions controls for '99+ and the car will choke on startup after you fill the fuel tank.

well i heard about that but i cant find one 99 and up i find 98-01 but will that still not work? im jus curious because im doing an a to m conversion and i am chipn my ecu to 5speed but someone told me hondata will not work with chipd ecus is that correct?

If you already have an auto P5M, just convert it to manual. Hondata won't work on a P5M anyway. You would need a OBD-1 P72 for that.

not a p13? i fund a wiren harnest for obd2 to obd1 i asked a friend today if would be able to do that cause i jus found out about hondata being for obd1 blah blah
