Wow, more incorrect information. There's been way too much of that here. If you don't know the correct answer, please don't reply.
The GS-R was sold in the 1992-2001 model years. The leather interior was NOT available on the GS-R when the third generation Integra came out in 1994. Leather first became available beginning with the 1995 model year as a factory-installed option. The leather interior became standard on the GS-R beginning with the 1999 model year (as noted on the Edmunds website as well as on topspeed.com).
The above information applies only to cars sold in the North American market.

Leather interior can be custom-installed on any car in the aftermarket. No North American market 1994 model year GS-R's came that way from the factory, and Acura/Honda parts to do so were not available until the Special Edition model came out for the 1995 model year, same time as the optional GS-RL (the terminology used for the optional leather model by the Monroney window sticker and the dealers' internal computer system).

my friends 2000 gsr had cloth, didnt seem that it was swaped, the design of the cloth is a little different than my 98 gsr cloth, in his glove compartment it had a paper there that the first owner checked boxes on what he wanted, and unfortunately for my friend he checked the box "cloth",
weird.

Because that's the only option they had besides leather. Wood, brick, and inflatable seats didn't come until 99+.

We don't need all 194,125 members of honda-tech to post what kind of interior they have on their GS-R.
To repeat, for North American market GS-R's, this is how they came from the factory:
1992-1994 cloth interior only
1995-1998 cloth interior standard, leather interior optional
1999-2001 leather interior standard
