lowerd cars = bad for axles?
i was wondering if lowering your car is bad for your axles because i just had to replace mine because they were ripped. does lowering the car cause stress on the axles and make it easier to rip the boot or cause damage?
yeah it depends on how low you are and what kinda driving you do. i am pretty low. tucking the fronts with 195-50-15's and no gap rear. i do a lot of racing from digs and thats even more stress on them. so yeah mine dont last too long *shrug*

Yes, I used to be dropped on cheap-o coils and went through axles like nothing. I have H&R race springs and I am fine now. (knock on wood)
I better things to do in my time than to change axles on weekends.

i never had problems until i got my swap... supposedly the axles were changed as well, but not 2 weeks after i got it done i looked down at my rim and had the pleasure of finding the every so great smelling - pain in the *** to get off axle boot grease all over the inside of my rim. fun stuff.

Yeah I know I can do that with my eyes closes yada, yada
point being - I don't want to. Car is supposed to work for you. Your not supposed to work for the car all the time.

I've had my **** slammed for a year without any problems. I just hate the fact that everything seems to scratch my exhaust and header...But it looks so damn sexy! I hate driveways and speed bumps...I can't get a hype R lip because I am so low, I wouldn't be able to get into my drive, if I had one...
how many of you have a camber kit because i assume it makes a huge difference not just on tire ware but on the life of your axles. is it really worth it to get a camber kit?
slamming your ride without camber kits are know to damage the boots, camber kits help out but the inner part of each boot should slide back and forth on the axle shaft keeping it from binding up. i suggest lowering your honda the correct way by using a camber kit!! besides hondas look like **** with massive negative camber!!!

the only problem with that is once you lowered it so much, you cannot correct the camber issue due to the tire will be hitting the rim due to centering the wheel. the only reason why there is boot issue with lowered car is all parts of the suspention is now put in extreme angles compare to the factor specs.
