JDM ITR valvecover wont fitt on my head!!!!
ok, well my dumbass self bought an OEM JDM ITR valve cover, but i didn't know it wasnt going to fit on my gsr head. the ITR head is a p30 and my head is a p72. So i have two questions. First will a USDM Itr valve cover fit on a p72 gsr head? second......if my gsr is a p72 and an ITR is a p30, what are the acronyms on a Ls head and a USDM itr head? k thanks, that is all
I have an OEM JDM ITR VC on my GSR (wow that looks like an eye chart)
It fits no problem. I also have a VC from a JDM b16 that I put on as well as my stock VC. I like to switch up the way the car looks from time to time. I can't afford to be a wheel *****, so I am a VC *****

as the others have stated...all is true..... jdm and usdm dohc vtec valve covers will fit on all dohc vtec heads regardless if its a b16a, b16b, b18c1, b18c5 (pr3, p30, p72). I'm already on my 5 valve cover with my GSR Head.
ok well when i do try to make it fit, one side of the VC overlaps, and thersa like a huge space. I just purchased the head so its dissembled. No rails or caps on their yet. I just try to fit it like so without the head being assembled. Anyone have a link or page I can view on how it should fit?? Close up picks would be awsome. Thanks again

dude...it just drops right in......you shouldnt have a problem....I mean if you cant get this valve cover on....I dont know
You can even place the valve cover on without the gaskets just too see how it looks..........its as simple as that....I think you should take a picture of your valve cover and let us see the fitment

How about you send us a picture of your GSR head without a VC, and then flip over both the GSR VC and the P30 VC and take a picture of that and post it...That might help abit! OH! And P30 is B16a3 Del Sol, not ITR...the ITR code is p73 guy!

correct...since the head isnt assembled, you're probably thinking the right side of the valve cover that hangs off the head is not normal....but thats where the cam gears are supposed to be located at once its all assembled.

yea if you dont have the cam holder screws down the valve cover may not fit right. put the head on a running engine and it will fit just fine

The valve cover will indeed extend past the bare head on the driver's side, since this is where the cam sprockets and timing belt will be located when everything is assembled. There is nothing wrong with the fitment you're describing.
