when i put my car into first and take of i hear a grinding noise almost like tires rubbing but when i hit second its fine and then while i drive and downshift i hear grinding and when i push clutch in no grind its weird

 

Its most likely your tranny.

 

but i just made it from kentucky to ct with no problem and doesnt grind gears or anything like i said only with like hard jerk like first grear take off or when i downshift

 

have u tried checkin your tranny for fluid?

try that and if your low jus go ahead and get higher grade trans fluid..that might help smoothen out your shifting
